The buildings are considered to be some of the largest clear spanned portal framed buildings ever erected. The rafters clear span 77mm between columns and the buildings are 132m long, 7.2m high at the eave, 14.13m high at the ridge and have 20m wide by 8m high sliding doors at each end to enable road trains to drive in and out of the buildings in one direction.
